About this tool

The AI Calculus Quiz Generator

A calculus quiz generator has to respect the order calculus is actually taught — limits before derivatives, derivatives before integrals, single-variable before series. This calculus quiz maker produces problems that solve cleanly, with worked solutions on the teacher version so you don't have to recheck every answer by hand before handing out a practice test.

Limits, derivatives, integrals, and series

Specify the unit and the generator stays in scope. Limits and continuity pulls epsilon-delta reasoning and indeterminate forms. Differentiation covers the power rule, product and quotient rules, chain rule, and implicit differentiation. Integration handles u-substitution, integration by parts, and the Fundamental Theorem. For BC, add Taylor series, parametric and polar, and convergence tests. AB-only requests leave out the series content.

  • Limits, continuity, and the definition of the derivative

  • Power, product, quotient, and chain rules

  • Definite and indefinite integrals with FTC applications

  • Related rates, optimization, and applications of integration

Answer keys that show every step

A calculus quiz is useless if the key just lists the final expression. Generated answer keys walk through the derivative rule used, the substitution chosen, the bounds evaluated, and the simplification path. That's what makes the practice test a review tool — students who miss an optimization problem can see where their setup diverged from the worked solution instead of waiting for office hours.

AB, BC, and college Calc I/II

The calculus practice test format tracks the course. AP Calculus AB defaults to the College Board's four units and the free-response structure. BC adds series, parametric, and polar. College Calc I and II pull from the same concept bank with problem sets sized for weekly homework or midterm review. The AI doesn't mix BC-only topics into an AB quiz.

From daily warm-up to full mock exam

Five derivative drills for a bell ringer, a 12-question related-rates check, a 20-question integration unit test, or a full 45-question mock AP exam — same calculus quiz generator, different length. Teachers build multiple versions for test security; students regenerate practice sets until the concepts stick.

How it works

Topic in, quiz out — in under a minute

  1. 1

    Describe your quiz

Tell us the topic, grade level, and subject. Paste chapter notes, unit objectives, or a single sentence — whatever you have.

  2. 2

    AI drafts the questions

A balanced mix of question types with answer keys and explanations, aligned to the cognitive load you selected.

  3. 3

    Edit, print, assign

Review, tweak any question, toggle answers on or off, and export a clean PDF. You stay in control the whole way.

More impressive though is that it corrects student answers not simply using a pre-written answer, but by following the thought process they've pursued.

GradeWithAI doesn't just grade. It gives the student reasoning as to why every point is awarded or not awarded. That is a very valuable thing for the students.
